PART 2: Purifying Our Waters: Declarations from Passover to Pentecost

Updated: Feb 4

From winter prayer guide . . . Founded as a City of Refuge for families escaping persecution, and a Holy Experiment, where the fruits of the spirit might be expected to characterize Philadelphia’s rule of order; our very name proclaimed love and represented a care and responsibility for the families who settled here. With the earliest laws to provide relief to the poor and churches that served needs wherever they found them, Philadelphians took care of others; from alms houses, aid to widows and orphans, and the first hospitals, to abolitionists supporting the underground railway

We thank you, Lord, that You have revealed by Your Spirit that Your Bride is even now being prepared for the marriage supper of the Lamb. “Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure”— for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints. And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.” Revelation 19: 7-9

As we have repented for those things that have separated us from You, returned to our first

love and committed to participate in our preparation as the Bride, we also commit to Your

Word as it instructs us. “Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” John 14: 23

We declare Ephesians 5: 25-27 over the Church of Philadelphia “Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.” And we thank You for the washing of the water with the Word that is restoring Your original intent as the City of Brotherly Love and restoring us all to the destines for which You created us.

According to Genesis 1: 26, we are made in the likeness and image of You who are Love (1

John 4: 8). We commit to seeking Your heart of Love in all things, seeing through Your eyes,

speaking and acting as You who are Love would, not as our flesh or our old nature would

have us act, until we become Love as you intended us to be.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12: 2

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, Philippians 2: 5

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Galatians 5: 22-23

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. Galatians 5: 16

For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love 2 Peter 1: 5-7

Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. Romans 12: 9-21

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Philippians 4: 8

Filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. Philippians 1: 11

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2: 20

You have said, “Seek my face.” My heart says to you, “Your face, Lord, do I seek. Psalm 27: 8

Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure”— for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints. And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.” Revelation 19: 7-9

Father God, you are the giver of all good things. I pray to ask you to give me the fruits of the Spirit. Help me to love, be full of joy, peace, and patience. Help me be kind, good,

faithful, and gentle when dealing with others. And finally, give me the self control to bear the fruit so others can see. 

Father, we thank You that as Your word promises in Isaiah 12:3, the joy of salvation is being

restored to the Church of Philadelphia. We declare that as we draw living water from Your

abundantly deep wells, joy will flow from every heart and flood the streets of this city with

salvation and rejoicing.

Please enlarge my understanding of righteousness and justice, as well as my capacity to do what is right and just in big issues and daily living, in my personal relationships and on behalf of the needy and oppressed. Show me how and give me opportunities to demonstrate this aspect of Brotherly Love in tangible ways.

Father, I bless You for Your precious promises and gifts.  I recognize that the gifts and fruits of the Spirit are my inheritance in You.  Today I receive a fresh release of the fruit of faith.  Holy Spirit, I yield to You and Your perfect ways.  Manifest Yourself in my life by making me a person filled with faith and trust in the Father.  I activate the fruit of faith in my life, today!  Holy Spirit, I also ask You to manifest Yourself in me through the gift of faith.  I receive and activate supernatural releases of faith for finances and assignments.  Thank You, Father,

that You did not leave us as orphans, but sent the Holy Spirit who ministers to us through His gifts and fruits.

Father, we thank You that You have always desired to make Your dwelling in us. We thank You for the finished work of Jesus that has opened the way for Your Spirit to be poured out and to make Your home in us.  We thank You for the demarcation of Pentecost and the anointing that was poured out.  As we move toward Pentecost this year, we remember Your words to sit down and exercise our authority in You.  We declare divine alignment between heaven and earth in this critical season and declare that You have called your people to be the temple of the Holy Spirit.  Thank you that this is our portion, and that we are going from

glory to glory in this marvelous calling!

 Father, we thank you for a supernatural revelation and impartation that enables us to truly love You with all our heart, soul and mind and our neighbors as ourselves. Holy Spirit we thank You for drawing the body together in one accord and for showing us how to live this level of love. We thank You for guiding us through the process of healing all the hurts and letting go of all those obstacles that have stood in the way in the past. We commit to uniting as the Body of Christ, anticipating with joy a mighty move of Your Spirit that will bring true

transformation and Your presence for ever more.

Lord, we thank You for Your divine timing and divine positioning.  We declare that we are moving in the turnaround that You have for us in this time of Jubilee! We are free - body, soul and spirit.  You brought us out to bring us in, and we are standing in the fullness of time.  We thank You that things that have been delayed by the enemy, are delayed no more!  Thank You for the harvest, thank You for outpouring!  We declare inheritance coming forth and Your timing being restored to Your body in a new way!

 Father, we thank You for restoring us to our Jewish roots.  We thank You for allowing us to be reconciled to our Jewish brothers and sisters.  We praise the glorious wisdom of Your plan in creating one new man in Your Son, Yeshua.  We declare this day that the fulness of the colors of Your wisdom are being brought forth by a diverse, but unified Church in this hour.  Thank You for the grace to testify of Your goodness and mercy in this season.  We praise You that one new man is arising in this hour!

Today, declare that God can and WILL do this again!  Declare that He is the same yesterday, today and forever.  Thank Him that through our prayers, hearts are being turned to one another and a movement of Brotherly Love IS being birthed.  Pray for the full release of God’s purposes for His church in this hour as He pours out His Spirit again on all flesh.

NOTES

We declare the Hosea 6: 1-3 (AMP) repentance and turning to the Lord that brings

resurrection to the people of Philadelphia

Rivers of living water sweeping through the streets of Philadelphia, displacing the roiling

waters in which Leviathan swam

From the miracles of Passover and the Resurrection of our Lord, to the visitation /

miracle of Pentecost, we declare

We thank You, Father, for the revelation You have given Your Body in recent years

about praying for the land and the water.

Awaken Church of Philadelphia to join in one accord

We thank You that even as You are continuing to deal with the manifestations of

Leviathan/Pride in our city; we, individually, repent of and come out of agreement with

any of the ways Pride continues to manifest in our own lives. We thank you for a deeper

revelation of humility that opens the floodgates of heaven.

Psalm 29 …

Isaiah 6 …

Hosea 6 …

John 4 …

John 7 …

Jeremiah 2:13 …

“For My people have committed two evils:

They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters,

And hewn themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water.

Isaiah 41:17-18 …

“The poor and needy seek water, but there is none,

Their tongues fail for thirst.

I, the Lord, will hear them;

I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

18  I will open rivers in desolate heights,

And fountains in the midst of the valleys;

I will make the wilderness a pool of water,

And the dry land springs of water.

Isaiah 12:3 …

Therefore with joy you will draw water

From the wells of salvation.

Voice or many waters …

Fresh springs converging into a River of living water …

Hearing the Gospel in their own language

Then the men of the city said to Elisha, “Please notice, the situation of this city is

pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad, and the ground barren.”

And he said, “Bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it.” So they brought it to him. Then he

went out to the source of the water, and cast in the salt there, and said, “Thus says the

LORD: ‘I have healed this water; from it there shall be no more death or barrenness.’ ”

So the water remains healed to this day, according to the word of Elisha which he

spoke.

2 Kings 2:19-22

Our Father and our God, we declare this word over the city of Philadelphia with

confidence and expectation, because You confirm the word of your servants and

perform the counsel of your messengers. Purify the water that flows from our bellies so

that death and barrenness will cease in our city. Release the Holy Spirit to wash your

people and deliver us from dead works, as the waters of life flow in and out of the

Church of Philadelphia.

He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living

water.” But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would

receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

John 7:38

We call forth rivers of living water in every neighborhood from house to house across

Philadelphia. We declare that the rivers of water will flow deeper in high crime and

barren areas where broken glass and all manner of debris reside. May life spring forth

everywhere that these waters flow and may death be defeated because of the blood of

Jesus that washes away sin and cleanses the flesh; as the life of the flesh is in the

blood.

We declare that Philadelphia shall be purified and cleansed from sin that works death

when it has conceived. We travail as the Body of Christ our city flows in its destiny to

love one another as you have loved us.
